Uber Driver Awarded GH¢105,600 After Alleged Gang-Rape by Three Women

Reports and videos on social media have highlighted an incident involving an Uber driver. His name has not been disclosed. The driver, residing in Kasoa Budumburam, reported being sexually assaulted by three women at East Legon Hills.

Recently, it was revealed that the women involved compensated the driver. According to a report by Kasapa FM, shared on X and seen by GhanaWeb on October 8, 2026, they paid him GH¢105,600. Initially, the victim agreed to receive GH¢100,000. The women made a down payment of GH¢50,000.

The video of the incident has sparked significant reactions online. Some users are urging the Ghana Police Service to take action against the women. Others argue that financial compensation does not justify the alleged assault.
