On October 8, 2026, newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) national executives visited former President John Agyekum Kufuor. The delegation was led by the party’s Chairman, John Boadu.
Henry Nana Boakye, the 2nd Vice Chairman, shared details on Facebook. He stated that the purpose of the visit was to introduce themselves and seek guidance from Kufuor.
Following this post, concerns arose online regarding First Vice Chairman Kojo Fosu Boadu, known as Kojo “Bamba.” He was absent from all photos shared during the visit. This absence is not new; he also missed a previous meeting with presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Kojo Bamba explained his absence from Dr. Bawumia’s meeting due to other important engagements. He noted that he had been informed about the meeting and sought permission to miss it.
Despite his explanation, some netizens expressed doubts about his situation within the party. Some suggested he might be sidelined despite winning his position. Others speculated that there could be more behind his absence at Kufuor’s residence than previously stated.
