Kofi Job Construction Limited has finished the first phase of the Tepa-Maban-Goaso road project. There are 15 months left in the 24-month completion period.
Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, the Project Director, reported that the first phase is 93 percent complete. This phase covers 22 kilometers from Maban and began nine months ago.
The entire project spans 39 kilometers, starting from Maban to the bridge on River Goa. Although work started in May 2024, it was included in the government’s Big Push Agenda in December 2025. Actual construction began on January 7, 2026.
Mr. Aduomi noted that they faced significant engineering challenges. They treated a 4.4-kilometer swampy area to prevent underground water damage.
He stated that the road is built to last, as all engineering issues have been resolved. Concrete drains measuring 15 meters have been installed on both sides to manage water flow.
Additionally, a 70-millimeter asphaltic concrete binder has been laid between drains. A 50-millimeter wearing course has also been applied to the carriage area.
Remaining tasks for this phase include installing road signs, markings, and crash barriers. The Ministry of Roads and Highways has contacted the Ministry of Finance for certification to begin the second phase.
