Pastor Gains Wealth Without Offerings Amid Power and Building Collapse

Prophet Akoa Isaac, founder of the Church of Prosperity, has stated he never charges for prayers. He shared this in a TikTok video. The pastor claims that God provides for him. He does not collect offerings or charge for spiritual services.

In 2020, Prophet Nakoa Isaac said God instructed him against using His name for profit. He mentioned that selling items like anointing oil and candles is inappropriate. “God doesn’t like that his name is used to take money from people,” he said.

He emphasized that he has never charged anyone for prayer in 44 years. “I don’t take offerings; we have normal service with prayers,” he explained. After the service, attendees return home.

The pastor also claimed to have received several cars as gifts. He stated he had about 15 private cars when starting his church, all given to him in the village. “I never spent money to buy a car,” he asserted.

Additionally, he recounted staying at a London hotel without paying. “I spent three days there without them taking money from me,” he noted. The receptionist informed him his stay was free of charge.

Prophet Akoa Isaac also claimed the ability to stop rain from falling. He shared an experience where a shop owner gave him an item for free after discussing its price.

“I casually said he could just freely give me the item,” he recalled. The shop owner then allowed him to take it without charge.

In October 2020, Prophet Akoa Isaac gained media attention after a church building collapsed in Akyem Batabi. Several worshippers were trapped under rubble during fasting and praying sessions, resulting in many fatalities.

He was once among Ghana’s powerful pastors with a large congregation before this tragedy occurred. In interviews, he reflects on his ministry’s rise and the impact of the collapse on his life and work.
