Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, has been called to the Ghana Bar. This adds a new professional qualification to his political career.
The Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament was one of 1,568 newly qualified lawyers. They were admitted to the Bar at a ceremony organized by the General Legal Council in Accra on October 9, 2026.
Cheers erupted as Mr. George took the stage during the ceremony. He officially became a member of the Ghana Bar that day.
Mr. George joins the legal profession after extensive academic study and training. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London. He also holds an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from the London School of Economics. Additionally, he earned an MA in Conflict, Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering from KNUST.
Before the ceremony, Mr. George expressed gratitude on social media for his journey’s grace and favor.
His admission to the Bar coincides with his role leading the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations. This ministry oversees government policy on communications and digital technology.
His call to the Bar represents a new chapter in his career. It combines his political responsibilities with formal qualifications to practice law in Ghana.
